Unlock Your Potential with Somatic Healing

Are you yearning for a profound sense of well-being and vitality? Explore the transformative power of somatic experiencing, a holistic approach to healing that integrates the wisdom of body and mind.

Each movement is designed with a question, “how could it be easier?”, “what could be lighter?” and because it is contagious, “you catch it like the measles” as my own daily practice leaves me feeling lighter.
Milton Trager, MD, spent most of his life exploring the effects of soft and gentle movement on the nervous system, which he linked to the unconscious mind. His discovery became known as Trager or The Trager Approach . He began working with children with muscular dystrophy and cystic fibrosis, and his final work was specifically with Parkinson’s disease. He felt this work was particularly helpful with any central nervous system disorders.

There is a deeply felt desire in today’s world for an experience of quiet, centered wholeness. The primary intention of Trager is to bring both the client and the practitioner into this state of being. By using gentle, non-invasive movements, Trager brings us closer to the possibility of an ageless body and a more peaceful world.

If you have had a recent or past injury that has resurfaced and are stubborn about healing, try the Trager Approach.

A wide variety of clients benefit from this approach, as we teach everyone a way to play with gravity, becoming lighter and more active in your life. This creates a feeling of youthfulness at any age. Through rocking, elongating and softly coaxing movement in every joint, you can recall feelings of playfulness and freedom perhaps not felt since childhood. Experiencing these feelings at a tissue level, rather than intellectually, is powerful and transformational. From this deeply relaxed place, structural alignment occurs, the body works in harmony letting go of compensation patterns, and realizes its full potential once again.

Discover the Trager Approach:

Milton Trager dedicated his life to exploring the therapeutic potential of soft, gentle movements, which he believed held the key to unlocking the body's natural healing mechanisms. From working with children with muscular dystrophy to individuals battling Parkinson's disease, Trager's approach offers hope and healing to a diverse range of clients.

Mentastics is more than movement—an internal dance of self-discovery and transformation. You'll uncover new possibilities for ease and vitality by tuning into your body's innate wisdom. Through simple yet profound questions—"What do I feel? How could I move with less effort?"—you'll get on a ride of self-exploration and empowerment.

Journey to Wholeness:

In my practice, I blend Mentastics movement explorations with tablework—a passive experience where the practitioner gently rocks and soothes the body—to create a holistic healing experience. Through open communication and active participation, you'll learn to express your needs and embrace a sense of agency in your healing journey.

Embrace Balance and Alignment:

Our bodies are intricate, finely-tuned instruments that require continual attention and care. You'll gain the knowledge and skills needed to cultivate balance and harmony through somatic therapy training programs and somatic trauma therapy certificate courses. Whether recovering from injury or seeking to enhance your overall well-being, the somatic experiencing course offers a path to greater freedom and vitality.
