Be your own best friend
I have lately been reminded to look in the mirror each morning, with thoughts of love, rather than critical judgment about how I look, my weight, my pain etc, etc. Loving kindness begins at home. If my cup is filled, I can share love and kindness with others.
Having a daily practice of loving ourselves is one way to keep our own cup filled. First think in the morning, even before you get out of bed you can appreciate your life, your choices, and your body in this moment. If that is difficult to imagine, you could leave an inspiring book, or have a phone app like Insight Timer cued up to listen to.
Notice your first thoughts in the morning…positive thoughts just may lead to a positive day!
