Movement Improvement #1
How well do you move? Are you free of stiffness upon waking? Do you chalk up your stiffness to “just getting older”? What a cop out! Don’t we all know octogenarians and even older people running races, moving easily?
Of course generative diseases play a role here. For those of us who have not been diagnosed, let’s be honest. We need to move more, and take care of our inflammation. This means changing our lifestyle, the hardest thing to change.
In the next few posts, I will share some beneficial actions you can take to reduce inflammation and get moving. Here’s #1
#1 Remove any inflammatory foods in your diet. SUGAR is toxic and causes acidic blood. Sugar is insidious in our food supply. Eat whole foods, avoiding packaged products. You wouldn’t eat a spoonful of sugar outright would you? Are a spoonful of honey or maple syrup? Yet, this is hidden in our foods. Disease rarely exists in an alkaline environment. It loves acid. Other foods that cause acid are nightshades (eggplants, tomatoes, green peppers, potatoes), red meat, red wine (sugar).
Treat yourself to some new cookbooks, eat a whole food diet, eat less sugar and avoid fruit juices, instead eat the whole fruit!
Stay tuned for tip #2 next week! Forward this to a friend!
