#3 Increase turmeric intake. Turmeric is a spice that metabolizes quickly in our bodies. “Like other colorful plant-based foods, turmeric is rich in phytonutrients that may protect the body by neutralizing free radicals (pollution, sunlight) and shielding the cells from damage.” Diets rich in plant-based foods are associated with prevention of medical conditions such as cancer and heart disease.
If you are on iron supplements: Turmeric may lower the absorption of iron in the body. Turmeric may also slow blood clotting and increase bleeding risk.
When I have overdone it, or eaten poorly for a few weeks, I take 4-500 mg. 3 times a day to get back on track. I also found a supplement from Metagenics “Inflavanoid Rapid” that has replaced all anti-inflammatories for me. Check it out. NSAIDS like tylenol, ibuprophen, advil, aspirin etc, are all hard on the body and SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN REGULARLY. I am happy to discuss…
You could start with one tumeric capsule a day in the morning, and see if that helps. Move up to the 3 times a day if you don’t see any results. It would be difficult to cook with enough turmuric to make a difference, but adding it to scrambled eggs, rice dishes, soups and stews is a great addition to your meals.
